Back to work.....

Just a short update today, the day after Christmas, and the crew is back at work.  Had a load of wood delivered today which will form the support for the

floor system.  There are some very beefy 4 x 12 beams and regular 2 x  joists that will support the floor and everything above it.

Here the crew is attaching the sill plate to the top of the foundation.  They drill holes to line up with the threaded rod that was imbedded in the concrete.  The sill plate is placed over the top of the wall and large square steel washers are placed over the threaded rod and sill plate and then screwed down with an impact wrench.

You can see that the crawl space has dried out nicely in spite of the rain we had last night.  I'm glad I took the time to pump out all the standing water before Christmas.  See my previous post.
