i'm floored.......

Yes!  This past week the white oak hardwood floors went in.  All 1,770 sq ft of it.   Going to leave it unfinished at this point.  We have decided that we will
wait until the cabinets are installed and the tile work is done before finishing the floors.  Longer we wait the better chance we have of not scratching the finish while it is getting good and hard.

Floor guy thinks we should set up ten pins at the other end of the hallway.

Gonna look real nice when finished in a redish brown stain.

Tile work has started.  Floor heat in the Master bath is in and ready for the backer board, and marble tile.  Guest bath is done and Master bath is half done.  Horizontal drain is in and shower pan construction will start soon.  Those criss-crosses are the heat cables set in thin set which will be covered by backer board and then tiled.

Nice tile work with an accent stripe of "chicklets" in the guest bath.

Elsewhere on the farm the first little corn shoots are coming up.  I planted 4 short rows in what we call the "south 40" (even though it is the norther part of the property and is only about an acre in size).

First little corn shoots.  Probably not going to be knee high by 4th of July.

This area is kind of an experiment.  Gets shady in the late afternoon from the tall trees to the left, out of this picture.  Might be better for root crops.

Also tied up the hops.  I moved the hops rhizomes this spring to a better permanent home.  Hops are perennials that get stronger and more prolific every year.  In the past three years they have done well but I needed to move them.  In about three years I'll be ready to start making some beer and they should be producing just about right by then.
